Jennifer L. LaFountaine graduated from the University of Georgia in 1998 with a Psychology degree and went on to law school at Loyola University New Orleans. After graduating with a Juris Doctorate, Jennifer relocated to Florida and began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney with the 10th Judicial Circuit. After several years prosecuting criminal cases, she then went on to work with an insurance defense firm in Florida.
Several years later, Jennifer returned to Georgia and spent over a decade representing employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation claims throughout the state with one of the premier defense firms in Atlanta. Additionally, Jennifer worked in the Appellate Division of the State Board of Workers’ Compensation as a Staff Attorney and also served as a Mediator with the Board.
Over the course of Jennifer’s many years of handling claims from the defense perspective, she has witnessed the unbalanced treatment of injured workers through the workers’ compensation system. After defending workers’ compensation claims for years, Jennifer has the privilege to now represent injured workers and is committed to helping them navigate the system with their interests being paramount. Jennifer is an experienced litigator and a zealous advocate for her clients.
In addition to representing injured workers, Jennifer is also a Registered Neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. Jennifer is a compassionate and patient mediator with a vast understanding of the financial, as well as emotional, issues that surround the resolution of a case. Jennifer is highly effective in bringing parties together to resolve disputes with a controlled, favorable resolution.
